Hanging a chandelier or heavy light fitting
A chandelier is decoration with real weight. It needs a fixing designed for that weight and a safe way to reach it.
Statement lights in villa entrances, stairwells and majlis are often heavy and hung from tall ceilings. A standard ceiling rose is not designed to carry them. The fitting needs a hook or plate fixed into the slab or structure, rated for its weight, and the supply connected so the cable carries no load.
Installation guides cover what a fitting or appliance needs from the electrics before it goes on the wall or ceiling.
Height adds complexity. Double-height spaces need scaffolding or suitable access equipment, both for installation and for future lamp changes and cleaning. Some owners fit a winch so the light can be lowered. Dimming is common for chandeliers, so the lamps and dimmer should be chosen together.
